A Salina man is charged with rape after a woman is held against her will.
Officers arrested 35-year-old Jack A. Kelley on Tuesday after a woman contacted police about alleged abuse that occurred in an east Salina home.
According to Captain Mike Sweeney, the female victim who is in her 30’s, told police the incidents took place between September 25th and September 30th.
Captain Sweeney reports the victim was raped and then choked at one point when she tried to leave the house.
Police say friends convinced the woman to report the abuse between her and Kelley who is an acquaintance.
Kelley is facing multiple charges that include rape, kidnapping, aggravated criminal sodomy and battery.
