Woman Cut in Argument

A man was arrested for aggravated battery on July 27th.

25-year old Matthew Levin of 2515 S. Ohio was arrested for allegedly hitting and cutting a 27-year old female around 2 am. She reported the incident around 6 pm.

She told Salina Police that the two were arguing when he began to punch her and took a pocket knife and cut her hand and shoulder blade.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that the victim suffered significant bruising and swelling on her left side, with her left eye swollen. She had cuts on her right hand and right shoulder blade.

She was transported by EMS and checked into the emergency department.
