VIDEO: More Counterfeit Money In Salina

KSAL StaffAugust 7, 2014

Counterfeit money continues to surface in Salina.

For nearly a month, counterfeit bills have been used to make purchases at multiple businesses around Salina. The latest bills to surface include a counterfeit $10 and a counterfeit $20 in deposits on Tuesday and Wednesday at Sunflower Bank on South 9th Street, and at the Bank of Tescott on South Santa Fe.

Three people suspected of using counterfeit money in Salina were caught on video in late July, and police are still trying to identify them. Two white females and white male in the video are suspected of passing counterfeit bills at Rod’s conveniences store at 1401 South Santa Fe on July 27th.

If you recognize anyone in the video, or if you have any information concerning who committed this crime, call Crimestoppers at 825-TIPS, text SATIPS to CRIMES (274637), or visit Salina Police Department and follow the Crimestoppers link to submit a web tip.

You may receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 and you are not required to give your name.
