Vehicle Burglary Arrest

KSAL StaffFebruary 5, 2015

A police investigation ends with additional charges for a man already in the Saline County Jail.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that 30-year-old Jeffrey McLemore is being charged with vehicle burglary, damage to property and theft for a crime that occurred in September.

Police used interviews and surveillance video from Crossroads Collision on North Ohio to connect McLemore to a vehicle burglary.

Police allege that McLemore broke into a 2008 Mercedes SUV that was on the lot at 1334 N. Ohio, and stole the stereo and speakers from the heavily damaged doors.

Police say he also destroyed Crossroads’ surveillance camera.

Total loss and damage in the case is listed at $1,804.

McLemore was already serving time in jail for a probation violation tied to multiple traffic violations.
