Two Injured in Crash

KSAL StaffDecember 24, 2014

A Gypsum woman and her daughter are hurt in a single vehicle crash.

Deputies from the Saline County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a rollover accident on Tuesday afternoon on Simpson Road.

Officers say 46-year-old Tasha Trout of rural Gypsum was driving southbound on Simpson when her 2003 Mazda hydroplaned and left the roadway, rolling once then coming to rest on its wheels in a ditch.

Deputies say Trout and her 12-year-old daughter told EMS at the scene they were experiencing pain in their legs after the crash.

The two were transported to the hospital in Salina for observation.

Both were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident.
