Trailer Located, Arrest Made

A police investigation that began in September leads to an arrest on Thursday.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, 31-year-old Jerry Huckabey of Salina was arrested on burglary and theft charges in connection to a stolen trailer.

Ottawa County Sheriff’s deputies found a utility trailer valued at $2,800 that was reported stolen from 1006 Johnstown in Salina sometime between September 17th and 23rd.

Police allege that Huckabey stole the trailer which was loaded with fencing material along with 2 heating and air conditioning units.
