Therapy Horses Shot and Killed

A Kansas sheriff’s office is investigating the deaths of two horse which were shot and killed.

According to the Wabaunsee County Sheriff’s Office,  two horses were shot and killed, from the road, by  a unknown person(s) in the vicinity of Bradford and Mission Valley Roads, northeast of the community of Eskridge during the overnight hours of January of 30 and 31st.

The horses were used for therapy for veterans and first responders suffering from PTSD.

The animals were taken to Kansas State University for forensic examination.

A $1,000 reward is offered for information which leads an arrest in conviction in the case.
