Sunflower Fair Blooms September 23

KSAL StaffSeptember 16, 2014

The 2014 Sunflower Fair is coming to the Bicentennial Center on Tuesday, September 23rd.

Keynote Speaker Dr. Patricia Neuman of the Kaiser Family Foundation joined in on the KSAL Morning News Tuesday with a look at understanding the layers of Medicare in 2014.

“I’m going to be talking about some of the challenges and how it has changed recently,” Dr. Neuman said.

She added that despite bad press about health care in general – the program is not growing out of control.

“People think of it as a problem with a sort of ‘Pac-Man’ rising health expenditures. In fact Medicare has been under control of late and honestly that has a lot to do with the Obama Care Law.”

The event kicks off at 8am and runs until 4pm. Registration at the door is $25 and includes lunch with booths and Q & A sessions scheduled throughout the day.

The annual event is sponsored by the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA).
