A Saline County Sheriff’s Deputy witnesses a rollover crash after the driver hit speeds of over 100-mph.
Sheriff Glen Kochanowski tells KSAL News that a deputy began to trail a vehicle that rolled through a stop sign early Friday morning at the intersection of Waterwell and Burma Roads.
The Sheriff says 23-year-old Leslie Rhodeman of Salina then sped up while driving northbound on Burma until he lost control about 5 miles later where the pavement turns into dirt north of Old Highway 40.
Deputies say the 2007 Mercury Milan rolled multiple times and was destroyed in the crash.
Rhodeman was transported to Salina Regional Health Center with serious injuries including fractures and was placed in the Intensive Care Unit.
The incident occurred at about 2:36am Friday.
