Storms overnight dropped heavy rain and hail around the area, and more could be on the way for the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, shower and thunderstorm chances will increase this weekend across the region.
Thursday and Friday will warm days with highs in the mid to upper 80s. An upper level system along with an associated surface cold front will move east across the area bringing a chance for showers and thunderstorms by Saturday morning into Saturday night.
The best chances for rain are across southern Kansas. Severe weather is not expected, although locally heavy rain is possible
Sunday will be slightly cooler as skies become mostly sunny. Highs on Sunday will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s.
