Police Seek Man Who Entered House

KSAL StaffOctober 20, 2014

A suspect wanted on warrants eludes officers after a short pursuit.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, just after midnight on Sunday an officer on patrol recognized a suspect wanted on warrants, who was driving a car in the 100 block of E. Prescott.

The driver did not pull over but instead led police on a short lived chase that ended when he parked in a driveway at 749 S. 9th and jumped out.

Police say he then entered the unlocked home where a 60-year-old woman heard  the commotion and ran outside.

The suspect ran out and was not found.

Police did find hallucinogenic mushrooms in the 1999 Chrysler 300 he left behind.

Police did not name the suspect during a media update on Monday morning.
