Burglars break into a Salina business. Police say someone pulled back sheet metal panels on an exterior wall to gain entrance into Midwest Gutter, 248 N. College, sometime between 7pm Wednesday evening and Thursday morning at 7am. Thieves took a cordless drill, five tape measures and 300 blank business checks from inside. Total loss and damage is $455.
Thieves steal an inoperable vehicle. Police report a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass that had a bad transmission was stolen. The owner told officers the car was parked off the street in the 800 block of N. 8th. It has an expired Kansas tag: 338 APD. The owner valued the vehicle at $2,500.
