KSAL StaffDecember 13, 2017

Thousands of dollars worth of marijuana is off the streets of Kansas.

The Barton County Sheriff’s Office seized more than $7,000 in marijuana from the mail on Monday. The drugs were confiscated after a pair of search warrants were issued in Great Bend. The sheriff’s office along with the Ellsworth County Sheriff’s Office K9 and the United States Postal Service executed the warrants in the city of Great Bend.

One person was taken into custody and authorities say other arrests may be made in the case.
