The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting during an attempted break-in at a home near Wichita.
Capt. Greg Pollock says officers found a man dead Monday afternoon in front of a home near Haysville while responding to a call about an attempted break-in.
The name of the man victim was not released.
Investigators are searching for a dark-colored sedan, late 1980s or early 1990s model that might have been involved.
Two people in the home were not injured.
No other details were immediately available.
