A 21-year-old Junction City man is being held without bond after a shootout at a fast food restaurant.

Police Lt. Jeff Childs says the victim suffered injuries that were not life-threatening during an exchange of gunfire at a Wendy’s restaurant Tuesday night.

Everyone involved was gone from the area when police arrived. But Childs says a short time later, a man went to Geary County Community Hospital and said he had been shot. The man was treated and released.

Police later arrested the suspect.

Childs says the investigation is continuing.
