Police catch a man with a stolen computer in his car.
According to Captain Mike Sweeney, staff at Wal-Mart, 2900 S. 9th, contacted police at about 6:30pm Thursday night after a man removed a Dell desk top computer and drove away.
Using the vehicle’s description police made a traffic stop around the corner of 4th and Jewell – and arrested 24-year-old Cash Hawkins of Salina after a short foot chase.
Police say he will face drug charges as well after officers allegedly found him in possession of a marijuana pipe.
Police have also linked Hawkins to the theft of four, take-home drug tests from area Dillon’s Stores.
