Kansas lawmakers are considering a bill that would criminalize sextortion.

The Committee of Judiciary met yesterday and heard from an El Dorado woman who lost her son last year in a sextortion scheme.

The proposed bill would increase the penalties for sexual extortion, especially when the victim is under 18 years old and the offender is 18 and older.
