An active investigation is underway after Salina Police received results of an autopsy for a 7-week-old male from Frontier Forensics in Kansas City.
Police are now consulting with an expert in the field regarding these kind of cases, who is an MD from Wichita. It is now an active investigation in which they are partnering with other agencies.
All parties in the investigation have been identified and there has been no arrests made in the case.

ORIGINAL: Salina Police are awaiting toxicology results on a case that ties back to an infant’s death in late July.
According to Lt. Andrew Zeigler, the parents of a 7-week-old boy called for help when the child was found unresponsive in a East Salina residence.
No charges have been filed as investigators await for the autopsy to be completed at Frontier Forensics in Kansas City, Kansas, and further tests in St. Louis which could be completed late next month.
