Game Wardens Seeking Deer Poachers

KSAL StaffSeptember 17, 2014

Game wardens from the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism are still looking for poachers who illegally killed a half-dozen deer this summer and are asking for the public’s help.

According to the agency, between July 1st and July 22nd, game wardens found six deer shot and left to waste near Cedar Bluff Reservoir. All of these deer were shot and left to waste on public hunting property that is reserved exclusively for youth / mentor hunting.

Wardens believe that all of these “senseless acts” are likely the result of the same person or persons.

Anyone with information is asked to call Operation Game Thief at 1-877-246-3843, or the Trego County Game Warden at 785-483-0504. You can remain anonymous.

Officials believe that someone out there “knows who is responsible for this senseless act”, and asks them to come forward.
