Fire Damages Salina Home

Salina firefighters were on the scene of a house fire late Friday night.

Crews were called to 107 West Prescott just before midnight. First responders to the scene discovered heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

The occupants, and their pets, were able to escape.

Crews had the fire under control at 12:30.

The home is uninhabitable. The North Central Kansas Chapter of the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the occupants.

An investigator was called to the scene to determine the cause.
