The spirit of Christmas, and the holiday season, was in the air in Salina on Saturday. Several events throughout town ushered the holiday season to town.

The fun began early at the Central Mall with “Breakfast with Santa”. The event featured prizes to go along with breakfast. Of course, the highlight was the arrival of Santa.

Downtown Salina had a full day of events. Highlights included carriage rides, antique fire truck rides make and take crafts, model trains, cookie decorating, and a live nativity.

The 23rd Annual Christmas Parade of Lights was the highlight of the day for many. A large crowd gathered along Santa Fe to watch the brightly lit and colored vehicles and floats, many decorated for the season, parade down the street.
