Man Arrested Following Chase

KSAL StaffAugust 25, 2014

Salina Police arrest a man after a 2-minute long high speed chase.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that an officer on patrol recognized 25-year-old Christopher Crotzer behind the wheel of a 1999 Infinity at about 1:15am on Sunday in the 1200 block of West Crawford. Crotzer was wanted on several warrants for driving without a licence.

Police say Crotzer did not pull over and sped away, reaching speeds of 60-miles per hour until he crashed into a culvert in the field north of the Central Mall.

Captain Sweeney describes Crotzer as a habitual violator with a suspended license.

He is now facing charges of fleeing and eluding plus endangering a child.

Police report a 17-year-old female was a passenger in the car.
