Chase Ends with Arrest

KSAL StaffSeptember 26, 2014

A man wanted for threatening a person with a knife at the Chapel Ridge Apartments on Monday is captured following a high-speed chase Thursday night.

Police arrested 30-year-old Jeffrey McLemore after he allegedly tried to hit an officer by backing his car at him – in the lot at the Traveler’s Lodge on South Broadway.

Police were at the motel just before 9pm to interview McLemore when he sped away in a 4-door Toyota Camry.

The chase reached speeds of 80-mph, and at one point the suspect’s car blew a tire before stopping in the 1100 block of Otto.

McLemore is now facing multiple charges tied to eluding police plus aggravated assault for waving a knife at a bystander who witnessed an argument he had with a woman earlier this week.
