Bald Eagle Shot And Killed At Marion Lake

Kansas game wardens are looking for a poacher who shot and killed a bald eagle at an area lake.

According to the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks, and Tourism, game wardens are seeking the public’s help. The say that an adult bald eagle was shot and killed below Marion Reservoir’s dam sometime Wednesday morning.

Bald eagles,the national bird of the United States, are protected under the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.

Anyone with information is asked to call Operation Game Thief at 877-426-3843. You can remain anonymous.

All calls received through the OGT line are quickly relayed to the natural resource officer nearest the violation, and callers can remain anonymous.
