Arctic Cold ToTake Over Kansas

A mass of bitter cold arctic air will roll across Kansas beginning Monday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, the  artic invasion is set to arriv with a strong cold front surging southeast across Kansas this afternoon. The front should enter Southeast Kansas early Monday evening.

North winds will whistle to tunes  of 25 to 35 mph across Central Kansas with 20 to 30 mph velocities likely across South-Central Kansas. By Tuesday morning temperatures in the northwest fourth of Kansas will have plummeted into the mid teens.

For the rest of the week high temperatures will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s, with lows dropping into the teens.
