Darla is an art teacher at South Middle School. She has been teaching for 12 years. Darla was inspired to become a teacher by the educators who made an impact on her throughout her life. Their passion for education and the joy they brought to teaching inspired her to follow in their footsteps. Her favorite part of teaching is connecting with and learning more about her students. A fun fact about Darla is that although this is her first year teaching at South Middle, she is not new to the school, as she was a library aide for three years previously.
