Woman Robbed Sunday Night

KSAL StaffDecember 16, 2013

Salina Police are investigating a Sunday night robbery.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that a 36-year-old woman came home from shopping Sunday night just after 10:00. She left her 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix running in her driveway in the 600 Block of South 9th Street as she carried groceries in to her home.

When the woman came back out to the car, she discovered a heavy set woman in the passenger seat. A man outside the vehicle punched the victim in the left eye, pushed her away, and drove off with the car.

The victim was not seriously injured.
