Freezing rain, sleet, and accumulating snow could all be on the horizon.

According to the National Weather Service, a winter storm will affect the area late Friday night through Saturday night.

A Wintry mix is expected to develop late Friday night into Saturday Morning. The precipitation is expected to transition to all snow from Northwest to Southeast from Saturday Afternoon into Saturday Night.

The snow may be moderate to heavy at times, with 3 to 6 inches possible across portions of Central Kansas. Driving conditions may become hazardous.
