Weekend Snow Means White Christmas

The weekend snow assures a white Christmaa for a large portion of Kansas. For it to go in the record books as a white Christmas there must be at least an inch of snow on the ground Christmas Day.

Temperatures are forecast to be below freezing through Christmas day, so any snow on the ground is here to stay, at least for the next several days.

According to the National Weather Service, arctic air will remain entrenched across the Region through Monday. A clipper-type disturbance will track across the Northern/Central Plains late Sunday Night into Monday which could bring some light snow or flurries to Northwest into Central Kansas.
