UTV Accident Causes Trauma-Victim Sent to Hospital

The Saline County Sheriff’s Office responded to a UTV accident at Gypsum Valley Shooting Sports on Wednesday, July 5.

Authorities responded at 7:40 P.M. after a UTV carrying two passengers took too sharp of turn and rolled over.

In the passenger seat of the UTV was Katrina San Nicholas, a 21-year-old from McPherson. She was pinned inside of the vehicle after the roll over.

San Nicholas had serious trauma to her leg and was transported to Salina Regional Hospital where she was treated for a broken leg.

The driver of the vehicle was Cherielynn Mahoney, a 22-year-old from Salina. She was not injured in the accident.

The UTV in accident is a 2017 Polaris Ranger XP 900.
