A 48 year old man had quite the scare after colliding with a train overnight.

According to Salina Police, Rodney Alan Bradshaw was driving a 2013 Ford F150 around 9:25 pm Sunday night when it collided with a Union Pacific Train at the intersection of Iron and 4th street.

Bradshaw was stopped at the train signal with the train stopped on the tracks. A railroad worker on the train was waiving his flashlight and Bradshaw assumed he was signaling him to go. As Bradshaw moved forward across the tracks the train began backing up, striking the front of his pickup.

Damage is estimated to be less than $1000
