Toxic Vapors

KSAL StaffApril 4, 2014

A Salina man is checked by medics then arrested for theft after passing out at a grocery store.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, officers responded to the Dillons Grocery Store at 2350 Planet Ave., on Thursday afternoon just before 1pm.

Police allege that 20-year-old Wesley Robertson took a canister of Perfect Duster dust remover from the shelve into the public restroom and huffed it. Police and medics were called after he was found passed out in a bathroom stall.

Police say half of the contents of the can were gone and Robertson had vomited on the floor.

He now faces charges that include the use of toxic vapors and theft.
