Kansas City, Kansas, police are investigating after a 1-year-old boy has died from an apparently accidental shooting.

Police said the child, Antonio Rucker, Jr., was injured in the shooting Friday night at a restaurant. The Kansas City Star reports (http://j.mp/2fqltzL) police officers found the boy injured. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police said Saturday that the child has died from his injuries. Police said the child was two months shy of his second birthday.

The incident remains under investigation.
