KSAL StaffJune 18, 2014

A Salina teen is in custody on drug charges.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, 17-year-old Quintavian Hill was arrested after police found marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his vehicle Tuesday evening during a stop for a traffic violation in the 600 block of West Crawford.

Police say a traffic officer noticed the strong odor of marijuana coming from inside when he approached the vehicle – prompting a search.

Police found over 170 grams of pot, baggies and $680 in suspected drug proceeds.

Hill is facing multiple charges for possession and distribution of marijuana and was referred to juvenile services.
