A Salina teen is booked for alleged sexual molestation.

According to Police Captain Mike Sweeney, officers arrested 14-year-old Shawn Coleman of Salina on Thursday, after the Department of Children and Family Services contacted authorities about multiple alleged incidents between Coleman and a pre-teen girl.

Police say the two were acquaintances and the incidents began in March of 2011.

Coleman is now facing charges that include 2 counts of rape and 6 counts of aggravated indecent liberties.
