The I-135 / I-70 Drug Task Force makes 2 arrests.

Officers used a search warrant Friday at the Knights Inn, 632 Westport Blvd., and arrested 41-year-old Johnnie Myers and 24-year-old Michelle Williams on charges that could include possession and distribution of marijuana.

Officers confiscated 70-grams of packaged pot along with suspected drug proceeds and drug paraphernalia.

The investigation began after a confidential informant told police about Myers’ operation. Police conducted 3 controlled drug buys between December 13, 2013 and January 14th of this year.

Task Force Commander Lt. Jim Norton tells KSAL News that Myers has ties to Louisiana while Williams is from Oregon.

The two had been staying in Salina over the past 4 months.
