Suspect Sought in Chase

Police are looking for a known suspect who led officers on a chase Sunday following a domestic disturbance in south Salina.

Captain Mike Sweeney tells KSAL News that around 12:30am officers were called to a home where a person was damaging items inside.

Police say the suspect slipped into a vehicle and led officers on a chase that began in area of Broadway and Cloud running several red lights at a high rate of speed.

The pursuit ended around 12th and Prescott after police lost contact with the vehicle.

Captain Sweeney says the suspect damaged a door and a vacuum cleaner at the home before allegedly stealing a cell phone on the way out.
