School Zones During Summer School

KSAL StaffMay 30, 2014

Even thought it’s summer, some kids are still in school.

According to USD 305, summer school begins at Cottonwood Elementary on Monday. Classes are scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., from Monday, June 2, 2014, through Thursday, July 3, 2014.

During this time period, the reduced speed school zones around Cottonwood Elementary, from South Street to Ash Street and College Avenue to Baker Street, will be enforced. Flashing lights on reduced speed school zone signs will be activated during the morning and noon periods to remind drivers of the reduced speed zones.

The remainder of the reduced speed school zones in Salina will not be enforced, and the flashing lights on the signs have been deactivated, until the 2014-2015 school year begins in August.
