Student Arrested In Connection With Threat

A threatening note leads to an arrest of a Salina high school student. The arrest stems from a note found at Salina Central High School Wednesday morning.

USD 305 officials say that a threatening note was found at Salina Central High School Wednesday morning. The note indicated a threat toward both Salina Central and Salina South High Schools.

Police investigated and found there was no danger to students, faculty, or staff.

Parents were notified via phone calls and texts.

Salina Police tell KSAL News that a student from Salina Central was taken into custody in connection with the threat. The student’s name was not immediately released.

Police are investigating to see if the threat is connected to two other recent threats at the school.
