Stolen Property Crammed into Trunk of Car

KSAL StaffJune 5, 2014

Police arrest a man and woman caught driving away with a car trunk overloaded with stolen items from a Salina house.

Just after midnight on Thursday morning, a concerned citizen called police after they saw two people moving items out of a vacant house in the 200 block of N. Front.

A short time later police stopped a 4-door sedan in the area with the truck lid open and stolen property inside.

Police arrested 39-year-old Brad Bates and 32-year-old Angela Rogers, both of Salina.

Police allege the two forced open a window to gain access inside, then removed tools, musical instruments and jewelry valued at $1,025 from the unoccupied home.
