A concerned citizen’s call to police leads to an arrest in a string of vehicle burglaries.
Officers were sent to the area of Santa Fe and Wilson Friday morning around 5:30am after a person told police they saw a man was acting suspicious and going through cars.
Police arrested 20-year-old Tyler Base in the 2000 block of West Wilson after finding items he allegedly removed from vehicles and stashed in the shrubs.
Police say three vehicles in the 800 block of S. 10th were entered as well as one parked in the 900 block of Highland.
Police found sunglasses, two GPS units, a wallet, prescription drugs plus over 11-ounces of marijuana bagged up for sale in the stash.
Base is now facing theft charges along with possession of marijuana with intent to sell.
