Smoky Hill Museum Holiday Open House Saturday

The Smoky Hill Museum is hosting a holiday open house this weekend.

According to the museum, there will be festive fun for the entire family. Planned activities include carriage rides, a pioneer Santa, music, crafts, and refreshments.

Special music by Salina singer and songwriter Ann Zimmerman will bring a special touch to this come and go event.

Free horse-drawn carriage rides by Country Boys Carriage & Prairie Adventures will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will need a ticket, which will be available in the Museum during the Open House. The free carriage rides are sponsored in part by the Salina Downtown Merchants.

You’ll be able to get creative with some special make-and-take crafts, and enjoy delicious refreshments.

The Museum Store will be open for holiday shopping. An extensive array of gift-giving ideas abound, including made in Kansas food items, gift baskets and the ever-popular wheat weavings and Coburn pottery

And remember to bring your camera for a photo with Pioneer Prairie Santa.
