Police are investigating after shots were fired in a south Salina neighborhood early Thursday morning.
Police Captain Jim Feldman says at around 2:45 am officers sent to the report of the sound of gunshots and a vehicle speeding away in the 1300 block of Midland Street.
According to Feldman a witness reported hearing 3 – 5 gunshots followed by the sound of a speeding vehicle.
Police located shell casings in the street. They did not discover any damage.
There was no evidence of any injuries.
