A banquet planned in September will help raise funds to feed the homeless into next year.

The Salina Rescue Mission’s 44th Annual Fundraising Banquet is Tuesday, September 23rd and those planning to attend should RSVP by September 5th.

Rescue Mission Executive Director Chad Young tells KSAL News that the financial support from the community helped provide nearly 67,000 meals last year. He also says part of their mission is not putting labels on men who need help.

Salina Rescue Mission’s 44th Annual Fundraising Banquet will feature two programs at the Webster Conference Center: Luncheon – Tuesday, September 23rd at 12pm or Dinner – Tuesday, September 23rd at 6:30pm. Those planning to go should RSVP by September 5th by calling 1-785-823-2610.
