Police are investigating a theft by deception case that originated on Craigslist.

A Salina man was arrested for trying to cash a computer generated check at a bank’s drive-through window. Officers arrested 45-year-old Calvin Stewart on Tuesday after staff at Sunflower Bank, 176 N. Santa Fe called police to report a forgery. Police allege that Stewart produced a check made out to himself from Koch Lawn & Landscaping for $735.67. He is now facing theft and forgery charges.

Shots from a BB gun caused an estimated $600 in damages to a man’s truck. Kody Tremblay contacted police after discovering that sometime between 6pm Monday and 8am Tuesday, someone shot out three windows on his 2014 Ford F150 truck. The vehicle was parked in the 800 block of W. Beloit
