A cell phone theft and a damaged car highlight Tuesday’s Salina Police Log.

A thief stole cell phones from a couple of students at Salina Central High School Monday afternoon. Police say that sometime between 3:00 and 4:30 in the afternoon a Galaxy S7 phone and an Apple iPhone 6s were stolen from the gym area. The phones were stolen from bags left in the gym during cross country practice. Total loss is listed at $1,200.

Vandals damaged a car in south Salina. Police say that a 2007 Toyota Camry parked at 1703 Lewis was damaged sometime between 7:00 in the evening Saturday and 3:00 in the afternoon Sunday. A 6 foot long scratch was discovered on the passenger side doors. Damage is estimated at $500.
