Police are investigating a theft by deception case that originated on Craigslist.

Officers arrested 60-year-old Jon Geary of Salina on charges of aggravated assault and criminal threat after a disturbance outside an apartment complex at 737 Fairdale on Friday afternoon at 5:30pm. Police say a verbal fight between Geary and seven juveniles, ages 11 to 15 turned violent when he allegedly pointed a serrated knife at the group and threatened to stab them.

 

Burglars broke a window and stole cash from Bengston Tire and Service Center, 730 N. Santa Fe, sometime between midnight and 6am Saturday. Total loss and damage is listed at $962.

 

A .22 caliber handgun, pliers and a flashlight were stolen from Kinderknecht Concrete Construction, 501 N. Santa Fe sometime between September 29 and October 1. Someone broke a window to gain access. Loss and damage is estimated at $350.

 

A glass door at Cirilla’s Adult Store, 2134 Planet was shattered by an unknown object sometime between midnight and 8:42am on Sunday. Damage is estimated at $500.
