An investigation leads to charges against a gas station employee for sexual battery.

According to Captain Mike Sweeney, a warrant was requested for 60-year-old Rasikbhi Mody, 1124 McAdams Road, after police interviewed a 17-year-old female who reported an incident last month at the Pump Mart at 1118 N. 9th.

Police say that the female walked into the store to prepay for her fuel on April 25. When she saw no clerk, she left money on the counter and turned to walk out.

Police report that Mody then approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks and breasts and asked her to perform oral sex.

The young woman took her money and rushed out of  the store.

Mody was arrested on Thursday and is facing a charge of sexual battery.

Mody has been convicted of similar crimes in the past. He was convicted of aggravated sexual battery, and sexual battery, in 2005. He is currently a registered offender in Kansas.
