Rider Hurt in Motorcycle Crash Near Salina

An Ellsworth man was hurt in a single vehicle motorcycle crash near Salina Sunday afternoon.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol,  24-year-old Shawn Davis was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, headed east on Interstate 70. He crashed as he was exiting on a ramp from Interstate 70 to head south on Interstate 135.

According to the patrol, Davis was going too fast for the conditions and left the roadway, and sustained injuries.

Davis, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported by EMS to the hospital in Salina.

The crash happened at the “big junction” of intersection of Interstate 70 and Interstate 135 Sunday afternoon at around 3:45.
