Salina Police are investigating a vehicle burglary that occurred sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning. Police say someone entered an unlocked 2002 Chevy Blazer that was parked in the 900 block of Smith, and removed a Garmin GPS unit, wallet with cash plus a bank envelope stuffed with money.Total loss is listed at $1,612.

Police arrested 35-year-old Robert Lewis of Salina on forgery charges. Police allege he removed a check from Staton Diehl’s checkbook and forged Diehl’s name to cash a $250 check at the Bank of America in the Central Mall last week. Police say the two are acquaintances.
